The Tampa Bay Buccaneers made a change along their defensive line on Saturday by waiving defense end Markus White and signing defensive tackle Matthew Masifilo to the 53-man roster.

Masifilo comes to Tampa Bay from the San Francisco 49ers' practice squad. Masifilo entered the league as an undrafted free agent from Stanford, where he was coached by current 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh.

The 6-foot-3, 280-pound Masifilo has spent the entire 2012 on the 49ers' practice squad, but he did record seven tackles and one forced fumble during the preseason.

White was waived just three days after he was signed to the active roster in order to make room for Masifilo.
