A few weeks ago, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers lost one of their best pass rushers when Adrian Clayborn, the Bucs' 2011 first round pick, landed on injured reserve with a bum knee.

But they may be close to getting another talented defensive end back on the playing field.

Head coach Greg Schiano said Tuesday that Da'Quan Bowers is scheduled to practice with the team tomorrow now that he is eligible.

Bowers, who was selected in the second round of the '11 Draft, is finally able to come off the physically unable to perform list. The former Clemson Tigers star ruptured his achilles heel in May while conditioning for organized team activities.

Players on the PUP list aren't able to practice with the team during the first six weeks of the season. After that, the team has 21 days to decide whether or not to activate the player to the active roster.

Now, just because Bowers will be practicing on a limited basis doesn't mean that he is ready to start bringing down quarterbacks just yet. Achilles injuries are serious and generally take a year or more to come back from.

But Bowers is determined to play at some point this season and the Bucs could certainly use his services if he is healthy enough to contribute.
