One month ago, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers were the only team to put a waiver claim in on wide receiver Jordan Shipley in hopes that he would be able to contribute to the team at some point this season or next.
Well, the Bucs couldn't find any room for the former 2010 third-round pick on the final 53-man roster and let him go.
But a foot injury to Preston Parker mean the Bucs have a need at wide receiver again and they re-signed Shipley on Tuesday.
It is curious that the Bucs decided to go with Shipley over Tiquan Underwood, who led the Tampa Bay in catches and yards during the preseason, but they feel like he is a better option in the slot and on punt returns should anything happen to Sammie Stroughter.
