The NFL's current Iron Man might be considered a dinosaur to the rest of the league, but that doesn't mean he can't still play at a high level.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers safety Ronde Barber was named the NFC Defensive Player of the Week after his performance in last Sunday's 16-10 win over the Carolina Panthers.

It was Barber's 200th consecutive start and the Bucs celebrated his milestone during the game. In return, he gave the fans something else to cheer about. Barber had five tackles, one sack, and one interception.

This was the third time in his illustrious career that Barber recorded a sack and an interception in the same game. He was named the NFC Defensive POTW each one of those times.

On the offensive side, rookie quarterback Robert Griffin III won the award in his first NFL game after throwing for 320 yards and two touchdowns. Griffin III also rushed for 42 yards on 10 carries.
